The SLOWBAG project was launched halfway into the year 2000, when brand author, Tytti Thusberg, used recycled safety-belts to create an artistic garment. When making it she realised this highly resistant material had other possibilities.
Slowbag raw material is safety-belt waste. Tytti Thusberg handcrafts the bags on order at her studio in Donostia. The interweaving method used is a nod to traditional Finnish basket weaving. Slowbag bags are designed and made to last for life.
