Malús Arbide is an artist and textile designer, with painting as her training and professional career starting point. During the advanced stages of her artistic production, her paintings dealt with repeated motifs all over. This led to her interest in textile design and printing, which enabled her, through silkscreen printing and later on other printing and stamping techniques, to automate the processes and apply her designs to textile products.
She works with the geometrical precision required to create a pattern. And, at the same time, she experiments with those motifs and colours typical of creative freedom and the artistic potential of painting. Her designs are timeless and unrelated to market trends, and her own intuition and artistic interest act as her guides.
Her scarves are made from natural fabrics like silk and wool, and she uses eco-friendly dyes. They are always produced in limited editions or one-offs.
